These Terms are an agreement between you and CliQ covering the CliQ app and services. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you accept them for a child, you accept them on the child's behalf and you are the responsible party.
These Terms also cover getcliqapp.com, including signup, family numbers, the rate ladder, referrals, the Founding Families program, and sensor reservations. Signing up is free.
Numbers and rates. Each signup receives a sequential family number, minted in signup order and never reissued. Numbers #1 through #1,000 lock a first-year subscription rate by band, as published on this site when you sign up. Numbers #1,001 through #5,000 lock 10% off the first subscription year. On the individual plan, where a band's rate would exceed that plan's standard price, the locked rate is 10% off the first year instead, so every founding number pays less than standard on either plan. Banded rates apply to the first subscription year only. After year one, and for numbers above #5,000, the then-current standard price applies. Rates are stated in US dollars, and the App Store sets local equivalents. Founding numbers go first, in number order, whenever CliQ opens something in limited supply: sensor build batches, early access programs, and future products. Referral boosts offered at sensor reservation can move a build position up the line.
Referrals. A referral counts when a real, distinct family signs up through your link and passes our verification standard: one count per household email after alias normalization, no self-referrals, no disposable addresses, no undeliverable addresses, and no bulk patterns. CliQ is the final reviewer of counts, and your referral standing will be visible to you. Referrals count from the day you sign up and keep counting through the end of each subscription year. Reach 10 counted referrals in a subscription year and your next subscription year is free. The reward applies to your renewal, not to your first year, and does not stack within a year. Each subscription year starts a fresh count, so a family can earn the reward again in a later year. Benefits have no cash value and are not transferable.
Claiming. Program benefits are redeemed through a claim link sent to your registered email address. Claiming requires an adult account holder. Claim links expire, but your number, founding status, and earned benefits remain redeemable for twelve months after your number is minted, on request.
Integrity. We honor the published program terms you signed up under, including the caps and the verification standard above. Fabricated signups, self-dealing, and manipulation of the program void the associated benefits, not your number. We may correct errors and may amend the program prospectively; amendments never reduce benefits you have already earned under this section.
Sensor reservations are held with a refundable deposit under the terms stated on the reservation page at the time of collection.
CliQ keeps a living baseline of cognitive performance through quick check-ins, connected with the movement, sleep, and recovery data you choose to share from your phone. Scores compare you to your own history, not to anyone else. The service improves as your record grows, which is the point of it.
CliQ is a general wellness product. It is not a medical device, it does not provide medical advice, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Nothing in the app tells you whether you or your child are okay, and no score is a reason to make or skip a medical decision. Decisions about health, injuries, and return to play belong to you and qualified medical professionals. If you think there is an emergency, call your local emergency number. Do not wait on an app, including this one.
Account holders must be adults, or teens aged 13 to 17 whose parent has approved their use of CliQ. Children under 13 cannot hold accounts. They use CliQ only through a profile their parent or guardian creates and controls. Keep your account information accurate and your credentials to yourself. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
If you create a profile for a child, you confirm you are that child's parent or legal guardian, you consent to the collection described in the Privacy Policy, and you can withdraw that consent at any time in the app. Withdrawal stops collection and closes the child's use of the app until you consent again.
CliQ is an annual subscription, billed through your Apple account. Where a free trial is offered, it applies to new members who are not redeeming a founding program benefit. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription. Members redeeming a banded first-year rate or an earned free year receive that benefit in place of a trial, with the price and renewal terms shown before you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current annual price until you cancel. You can cancel any time in your Apple subscription settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Apple's own terms govern billing and refunds for purchases made through the App Store. If we change prices, you will know before it affects you.
Journal entries, moods, notes, and everything else you write in CliQ belong to you. You give us only the license we need to operate the service: to host, process, back up, and display your content to you and to the people your consent settings allow, and nothing more. We do not use your content to advertise and we do not give it to anyone for their own use. Suggestions you send us about the product you grant us the right to use without obligation, which is the only way a suggestion box can work.
Use CliQ for yourself and your family. Do not break, probe, or overload the service, do not try to access anyone else's data, do not reverse engineer the app except where the law says we cannot stop you, do not scrape or resell any part of the service, and do not use it for anything unlawful. Check-ins answered by the person the profile belongs to are the only ones worth anything, to you or to us.
The app, its design, its scoring methods, and its content (apart from your content) belong to CliQ and its licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use the service, not any ownership in it.
We improve the service continuously and some features will change or retire. If we make a change that materially reduces what you paid for, you can cancel and we will refund the unused part of your current period.
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Measurements are estimates from consumer hardware and honest statistics. They are useful, and they are not guarantees.
To the fullest extent the law allows, CliQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
You can stop using CliQ and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that materially break these Terms, and where practical we will warn you first. On termination, the Privacy Policy's retention and deletion rules govern your data.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where CliQ is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If we have a dispute, contact us first. Almost everything can be resolved by two people talking. Anything that cannot be will be brought in the courts of that state.
If we change these Terms materially, the app will ask you to review and accept the new version before you continue. Your continued use after accepting is your agreement to the change.
