Chris has spent his life in action sports as an alpine ski racer, an elite coach in the US and Europe, and a Baja 1000 racer. Then he watched his son get airlifted from Whistler after a mountain-bike concussion. Brain performance tracking exists for elite athletes with full medical staffs and for no one else. After two decades in corporate finance and family office strategy, he is building what his own family needs.
The question we couldn't answer.
We were racing the Baja 1000, a thousand miles of desert run mostly in the dark. Our teammate crashed hard and suffered a severe concussion.
Afterward we learned he had been concussed three weeks before the race and had told no one. Maybe he didn't want to come off the team.
Had he recovered? Nobody could say, because there was nothing to look at. He had no data and no normal to compare against.
His watch held a year of resting heart rate and his bike logged every mile. His brain had never produced a single data point.
CliQ closes that gap with three-minute check-ins that keep a current picture of how a brain performs. We built it for our own kids first.
Your data is your business. Our job is to make sure there's something to look at.
